Certified Dietary Manager / Food Services Director

A well-established healthcare organization is seeking an experienced and energetic Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) / Food Services Director to lead our dietary department. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of food service operations while ensuring residents receive nutritious, appealing meals that support their health, well-being, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee all daily dietary and food service operations.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including sanitation and food safety standards.
- Develop, implement, and monitor resident-centered nutritional programs and specialized diets.
- Conduct nutritional assessments and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident care plans.
- Manage departmental budgets, purchasing, inventory control, and cost management initiatives.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and mentor dietary staff while fostering a positive team culture.
- Monitor resident satisfaction and continuously improve dining services and meal quality.
- Maintain accurate documentation, audits, and regulatory compliance records.
- Promote wellness and healthy lifestyle initiatives throughout the community.
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
Qualifications
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification required.
- Previous leadership experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or assisted living preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dietary regulations, food service management, nutrition, and therapeutic diets.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams.
- Experience with budgeting, purchasing, inventory management, and cost control.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
