We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Lead to oversee and manage complex construction projects from inception to completion. This pivotal role requires a proactive leader with a strong background in construction management, safety regulations, and team supervision. As a Construction Lead, you will coordinate project schedules, supervise crews, review technical drawings, and ensure all work aligns with quality standards and safety protocols. Your expertise will drive project success, foster collaboration among teams, and uphold the highest standards of construction excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage construction teams on-site, ensuring efficient crew management and supervision of daily activities
- Develop, coordinate, and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar construction scheduling software
- Review blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to interpret project requirements accurately
- Oversee construction safety compliance by enforcing OSHA standards and federal safety regulations across all site activities
- Manage contracts, procurement processes, and construction estimating to stay within budgetary guidelines
- Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure adherence to design specifications and construction regulations
- Coordinate with project stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication, schedule updates, and problem resolution
- Supervise the review of construction drawings and schematics for accuracy before implementation
- Oversee site safety protocols, conduct safety meetings, and ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety standards
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore or Bluebeam for documentation, reporting, and project tracking
- Manage subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials like pipelines or heavy equipment such as Ohmmeters or management tools like Primavera P6
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; construction-related coursework or certifications a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a site supervision, superintendent, or field leadership role in residential or commercial construction/remodeling.
- Proficiency in construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, and other relevant tools
- Strong understanding of construction scheduling, project planning, and cost estimation techniques
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and technical specifications accurately
- Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and OSHA standards for construction sites
- Excellent management skills with experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment
- Skilled in managing contracts, budgets, and procurement processes effectively
- Effective communication skills for managerial roles involving coordination with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and team members
- Hands-on experience with construction site operations including blueprint reading, safety management, quality control inspections, and supervising crews
