Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented hemp or cannabis processing technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the packaging process, ensuring that products are assembled, packaged, and prepared for distribution in compliance with industry standards. This position requires a current and valid OMMA Employee Credential. Non-credentialed employees will not be considered. Hours
Hiring Full Time Position: Monday - Thursday 7am-6pm
Responsibilities
- Assemble and package products in accordance with established guidelines and specifications.
- Operate and maintain packing and production machinery, including heat sealers, filtration units, shredders, and knockboxes.
- Ensure compliance with OMMA by coordinating with on-site supervisors and management to maintain standard operating procedures.
- Work as necessary to meet production requirements.
- Conduct quality checks on packaged products to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area within the warehouse / lab environment.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking materials used during the packaging and production process, or assisting with product audits/counts.
- Clean any and all workspaces and bathroom surfaces as needed. (shared and scheduled responsibility with all staff on site)
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Familiarity with OMMA rules and regulations is preferred.
- Experience operating various types of packaging or production machinery is preferred.
- Experience with Metrc or Distru is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a warehouse and or lab settings, including lifting and moving materials as needed.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all tasks performed.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
