Job Overview
We’re looking for a friendly, reliable, and fashion-savvy Sales Associate who understands the needs of parents and kids. This position is full time and our store hours are 10am-6pm, Monday - Saturday. If you're a mom, have experience working with children, or simply have a good eye for children’s fashion, you could be the perfect fit. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. You will assist with product demonstrations, maintain merchandise displays, and contribute to achieving sales goals. Your ability to communicate effectively and engage with customers will be key to your success in this position.
About Us
KJ’s Boutique is a locally owned children’s boutique offering a carefully curated selection of clothing for boys and girls sizes 0-5T, and trendy, age-appropriate styles for tween girls ages 6–12. We pride ourselves on creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere where moms (and dads) feel right at home while shopping for their little ones.
Duties
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their inquiries.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions, including cashiering and cash handling.
- Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits.
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing merchandise display through effective merchandising techniques.
- Assist in stocking shelves and managing inventory levels to ensure product availability.
- Upsell products by identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate items.
- Utilize basic math skills for retail math calculations related to pricing, discounts, and inventory management.
- Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries.
Skills
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Knowledge of children clothing sizes.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus for enhancing customer interactions.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
- Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and inventory management.
- Knowledge of merchandising principles to create attractive displays that drive sales.
- Ability to upsell products by understanding customer needs and preferences.
Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
