The Outdoor Adventure Attendant is an integral member of the Outdoor Adventure team, supporting the daily operation, organization, and maintenance of the department’s gear and equipment. This position is primarily responsible for gear inventory, rentals, equipment preparation, restocking, and general operational support, while also assisting with program logistics and member services.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily gear check-out, check-in, and rental operations for Outdoor Adventure programs.

Conduct regular inventory counts and gear audits, identifying missing, damaged, or replacement items.

Inspect, clean, organize, and properly store gear following each use.

Prepare and stage equipment for daily programs, private trips, rentals, and expeditions.

Restock gear, supplies, warming huts, and program areas as needed to maintain operational readiness.

Maintain organized gear storage areas and ensure equipment is properly labeled and accessible.

Assist members with gear selection, sizing, fitting, and basic equipment questions.

Manage gear rental reservations and ensure equipment is available and prepared for scheduled bookings.

Support the Outdoor Adventure team with transporting and loading/unloading equipment for programs.

Assist guide staff with daily equipment needs and program preparation.

Provide in-field logistical support for Outdoor Adventure programs as needed.

Support purchasing and replenishment of operational gear, equipment, and supplies.

Assist with receiving, organizing, and documenting new gear and equipment deliveries.

Assist with program registration, confirmation emails, and member inquiries as needed.

Support administrative responsibilities and other operational needs of the Outdoor Adventure Manager.

Coordinate transportation and equipment logistics for daily trips and expedition programs.
Liaise with departments across Powder Mountain to support Outdoor Adventure programming and operational needs.

Requirements and/or Qualifications:
-
Strong organizational skills with experience in inventory management, equipment rentals, stocking, or outdoor operations.

Familiarity with Outdoor Adventure programming and outdoor recreational equipment.

Ability to safely handle, organize, transport, and maintain outdoor gear and equipment.

Experience with booking, registration, or inventory management software preferred.

Ability to work constructively across departments and communicate effectively with members and staff.

Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate inventory records.

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Must pass background checks to work with adult and youth programming.

Must be able to drive Powder Mountain vehicles.
Physical Requirements- Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to:

Reach, push, pull, lift, and carry objects weighing 40+ lbs.

Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and twisting.

Frequent loading, unloading, moving, and organizing outdoor equipment.

Periods of intensive Outdoor Adventure activities such as Nordic skiing, backpacking, kite skiing, climbing, and more.
Ability to walk and work safely on even, uneven, slippery, and snow-covered terrain.

Working Environment:
This is a hands-on, field-based operational position with responsibilities split between gear storage areas, rental operations, program locations, and administrative spaces. The position requires frequent movement throughout the property to retrieve, prepare, transport, restock, and organize equipment.
The position will occasionally travel and participate in Outdoor Adventure programs in inclement weather, hazardous conditions, and multi-day backcountry environments.
