Position Overview
The Field Operations Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the day-to-day performance of field operations, including construction, restoration, and mitigation teams. Reporting to Executive Leadership, this position plays a key role in ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and profitably while maintaining high standards for quality and customer service.
This role provides hands-on leadership to field personnel, coordinates labor and resources, oversees subcontractor and vendor performance, and uses operational and financial data to identify opportunities for improvement. The Field Operations Manager also works closely with Executive Leadership and other departments to support company goals, improve operational performance, and help successfully scale field operations as the organization continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily field operations across construction, restoration, and mitigation projects.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and according to company quality standards.
- Lead, coach, and support field teams while promoting accountability, teamwork, productivity, and professional development.
- Monitor employee and department performance using KPIs, financial reports, CRM data, and other operational metrics.
- Conduct Employee Performance Reviews (EPRs) and provide ongoing performance feedback.
- Manage disciplinary matters and corrective action plans in partnership with Human Resources.
- Partner with Human Resources to identify employee training needs, skills gaps, and development opportunities.
- Coordinate staffing, subcontractors, vendors, equipment, and other resources based on operational and project needs.
- Evaluate subcontractor, independent contractor, supplier, and vendor performance and identify gaps or opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor project budgets, productivity, job costs, and overall profitability.
- Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure field operations comply with company policies, safety requirements, and applicable OSHA, IICRC, NFPA, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with Executive Leadership and other departments to ensure field operations align with company goals and priorities.
- Assist Executive Leadership with operational planning, forecasting, staffing needs, and scaling field operations as the company grows.
- Participate in staff meetings, company training, and assigned industry training.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support company and operational objectives.
Emergency On-Call Responsibilities
The Field Operations Manager is required to participate in the company's 24-hour Emergency Services on-call rotation, currently scheduled approximately once every five weeks.
During assigned on-call periods, responsibilities may include responding to emergency property losses and coordinating or assisting with services such as board-ups, tarping, water mitigation, and other emergency response needs.
Job RequirementsExperience & Education
- 5+ years of experience in construction, property restoration, mitigation, or related field operations.
- 5+ years of leadership or management experience overseeing field teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry and leadership experience will also be considered.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Leadership & Operations
- Proven ability to lead, develop, motivate, and hold teams accountable.
- Experience conducting performance reviews and managing employee performance and development.
- Strong project management, budgeting, scheduling, and cost-control skills.
- Ability to analyze KPIs, financial reports, job-cost information, and operational data to make informed decisions.
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Industry & Technical Knowledge
- Strong understanding of construction, restoration, and/or mitigation processes.
- Working knowledge of job-site safety practices and applicable industry standards.
- Familiarity with OSHA, IICRC, and NFPA standards and requirements.
- Experience managing subcontractor, contractor, supplier, and vendor relationships.
- Experience with CRM systems, project management software, and operational reporting tools.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to participate in the company's 24-hour emergency on-call rotation.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project and job sites as required.
- Ability to work effectively in active construction, restoration, and emergency-response environments.
- Flexibility to respond to operational needs outside of normal business hours when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- IICRC certification(s) preferred.
- Previous management experience within the property restoration industry is highly preferred.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
