Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals in an assisted living setting
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules and protocols
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Work with individuals with developmental disabilities and provide behavior management support
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals under your care
- Implement individualized care plans and document progress and observations
- Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as needed
*Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role or a relevant healthcare field
- Completion of DSP-1 required, DSP-2 preferred
- First aid and CPR certification
- Ability to lift heavy objects or individuals when necessary
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals who may have complex needs
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and procedures
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques for individuals with intellectual delay and\or other behavioral challenges
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed
