Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Middle/High School Mathematics Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This role involves teaching various mathematical concepts, from Algebra to Differential Equations, and supporting students in their academic journey through effective instructional design and tutoring.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Teach mathematical concepts including Algebra, Differential Equations, and other advanced topics.
- Utilize instructional design techniques to create effective learning materials.
- Provide academic advising and support to students, helping them understand complex mathematical theories.
- Facilitate tutoring sessions for students needing additional help in mathematics.
- Assess student performance through tests, assignments, and projects, providing constructive feedback.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and faculty regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on educational best practices.
Experience
- A degree in Mathematics or a related field is preferred; teaching certification is a plus.
- Experience in instructional design and the ability to calculate complex mathematical problems is essential.
- Proven ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively to diverse student populations.
- Previous experience in tutoring or academic advising is highly desirable.
- A strong understanding of both theoretical and practical applications of mathematics is crucial for this role.
