American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with 1+ year of experience and ARDMS/RVT certification for a 13-week acute care assignment.
-
Ultrasound department in an acute care hospital setting with 3 US scanning rooms
-
General US, OB, small parts, and vascular (upper and lower venous and arterial) studies performed
-
Average of approximately 35 scans/studies per day across 24 hours
-
Uses Siemens S2000 equipment
-
EMR is Community Works with Intellirad/Intelliconnect PACS
-
12-hour rotating shifts (6-6, 7-7, and occasional 11-11 or 8-8) on a 2,2,3 schedule between two teams
-
Every other weekend requirement
-
May be asked to participate in holiday rotation
-
No call or standby requirement
-
No floating to other departments required
-
Radiologist in-house until 5pm, then on call with Vrad coverage overnight (2a-6a)
-
Minimum of 1 year of sonography experience required

ARDMS certification required
-
Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) via ARDMS required
-
BLS certification required
-
WV state license required if applicable
-
OB and arterial extremity doppler experience required

Must be able to start IVs
-
Must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Cerner EMR experience
-
Perform general ultrasound, OB, small parts, and vascular ultrasound studies
-
5-shift department-specific orientation with a preceptor
-
Imaging Director and Manager available Monday-Friday daylight hours and always reachable by phone

May wear any color scrubs as long as clean and professional; matching permanent staff's emerald green is optional
-
First-time travelers will be considered for this position

Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for travel positions

WV CARES clearance required prior to start date
