Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on vehicles using advanced automotive diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs and installations.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues accurately.
- Execute alignment services and ensure vehicles meet manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and parts used for each vehicle.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle's condition and necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance service efficiency and quality.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and diesel engine repair techniques.
Experience
- Previous experience as an Automotive Technician or Service Technician is required.
- Dealership experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and vehicle maintenance is essential.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles is a plus.
- Experience with auto estimating, welding, and diesel engine repair will be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and alignment procedures is necessary.
