Job Summary
Level UP is seeking an outgoing and passionate Dance Instructor who is comfortable working with students of all ages and various skill levels. The ideal candidate will bring energy, expertise, and a commitment to nurturing talent, whether working with children, teens, or adults. You will focus on dance technique and choreographing routines that will be showcased at our annual dance recital.
Responsibilities
- Teach various age groups and skill levels, in areas including jazz, ballet, tap, acrobatics, hip hop and lyrical.
- Lead energetic dance classes that motivate students while ensuring proper technique, safety, and engagement.
- Develop creative choreography for performances, competitions, or showcases that highlight student talents and progress.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively by maintaining discipline, encouraging positive behavior, and fostering an inclusive environment for all learners.
- Optional opportunities to provide individualized coaching and extra support in technique or performance skills with private lessons.
- Ballet instructional experience is a plus
- Primary classes looking for instructors are Ballet/Tap and Acro/Jazz ages 4-6.
- Availability on Saturday Mornings and Weekday mornings is a plus
Requirements
- Proven experience in teaching dance classes across diverse age groups, including early childhood education or preschool settings.
- Strong background in ballet, jazz, or related dance styles with a solid understanding of choreography development.
- Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management techniques, and working with children or adult learners.
- Ability to manage behavior effectively while creating an inspiring atmosphere that encourages artistic growth.
- Our program offers a large amount of autonomy to instructors and reliability and attendance are extremely important to ensure consistency for our students.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
