Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive, organized, and confident Site Supervisor to lead a sports-focused afterschool program centered on youth development, mentorship, and seasonal intramural athletics. This role combines program management, staff supervision, athletic coordination, and mentorship implantation. The Site Supervisor plays a key role in maintaining structure, accountability, and positive culture across multiple sites.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of afterschool sports and youth activities, ensuring smooth and organized program delivery
- Supervise and support afterschool program staff
- Manage seasonal sports and game day logistics
- Coordinate with school administration, site staff, and community partners
- Communicate professionally with parents and guardians
- Support staff training, coaching, and performance accountability
- Maintain accurate attendance records, activity logs, and incident reports to ensure compliance with program standards
- Travel between multiple school sites as needed
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children or youth in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or recreational programs
- Strong skills in classroom management, behavior management, and childhood development principles
- Experience supervising staff strongly preferred
- Knowledge of first aid procedures; certification preferred but not required
- Background in sports coaching or physical education; experience with sports activities is highly desirable
- Minimum of 48 college units
- Ability to lead engaging activities while maintaining safety and discipline standards
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a positive environment through teamwork and leadership in youth programs
