Position Summary:
The Assistant Director of Operations - ABI is responsible for oversight of assigned programs. This includes but is not limited to coordination, administration, planning, organizing, staffing, leading and controlling program activities. The Assistant Director of Operations - ABI will ensure that all funder regulations are always followed in each department.
Essential Job Function:

In collaboration with the Director of Operations – Residential, Plan the delivery of the overall program activities for assigned programs in accordance with The Arc’s Mission and the goals of the organization.

Develop and implement long-term goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcome of assigned programs.

Ensure that program activities operate within the policies and procedures of the organization and comply with all relevant legislation & professional standards.

In collaboration with the Director of Operations - Residential, develop forms and record keeping systems to document and monitor program activities and resident progress.

Oversee the collection and maintenance of records on the participants of assigned programs for regulatory purposes in accordance with the confidentiality/privacy standards of the organization.

Supervise Program Directors as assigned by providing support, supervision, direction and feedback.

Communicate with residents and other stakeholders to gain community support for the programs and to solicit input to improve the programs.

Communicate with funders as outlined in funding agreements.

Conduct and participate in internal meetings with staff and external meetings with funders.

Ensure all financial records for assigned programs are up to date.

Provide required information to have invoices generated and submitted to funders according to the established timelines.

Identify & evaluate the risks associated with program activities and take appropriate action to control the risks.

Ensure regulatory compliance and leading licensing initiatives.
Other Job Functions:

Contribute to the overall positive morale of the program.

Oversee ABI residential homes (moves, staffing, budgets, safety etc).

Provide oversight of debit/petty cash transactions.

Demonstrate conduct keeping with The Arc of Plymouth and Upper Cape Cod’s Ethical Code of Conduct.

Demonstrate professionalism and commitment to teamwork at all times.

Attends all mandatory in-services, meetings, safety training and annual trainings.

Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Relevant experience may be used in place of degree.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in direct supervision and case management.
Certifications: CPR, First Aid, MAP (Medication Certification Process) required (in house training provided). Valid driver’s license required.
Working Conditions:
Residential home setting. Occasional community outings
