Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care within a dynamic clinic or hospital environment. Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Perform basic life support and emergency medical procedures as needed.
- Document patient histories, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately in medical records.
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and providing necessary instructions.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians or nurse practitioners.
- Conduct routine laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic imaging as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the medical office or clinic environment.
- Provide caregiving support to patients, including those with dementia care needs.
- Participate in educational initiatives within the teaching hospital setting to enhance patient care practices.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required.
- Experience in a clinic or hospital setting is preferred, particularly in emergency medicine or hospital medicine.
- Strong understanding of basic life support techniques and protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems is advantageous.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and training in caregiving practices.
