Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve complex residential and commercial drain and sewer line problems.
- Operate advanced drain cleaning and diagnostic equipment including hydro-jetters, large sectional machines, sewer cameras, and locating equipment.
- Identify root causes of recurring drain and sewer issues and recommend appropriate repair, replacement, or maintenance solutions.
- Mentor, train, and support apprentice and entry-level technicians in proper service procedures, equipment operation, and safety practices.
- Assist management with field training, quality control, and technician development.
- Ensure junior technicians follow company procedures, operational standards, and safety requirements.
- Build strong customer relationships through professionalism, communication, and high-quality service.
- Educate customers on repair options, preventative maintenance, and proper system care.
- Handle escalated customer concerns and provide effective resolutions when needed.
- Complete service calls efficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate documentation including invoices, service tickets, job reports, and inspection notes.
- Assist with scheduling coordination, dispatch communication, and field troubleshooting when necessary.
- Maintain advanced drain cleaning equipment, tools, and company vehicles in proper working condition.
- Ensure vehicles are clean, organized, fully stocked, and prepared for daily operations.
- Enforce company safety procedures, jobsite safety standards, and PPE compliance at all times.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of drain cleaning or plumbing service experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of residential and commercial drain systems.
- Experience operating hydro-jetters, sewer cameras, and locating equipment.
- Leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Strong sales and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Ability to work on-call, nights, weekends, and emergency service rotations.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 75-100 pounds regularly.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and physically demanding environments.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
