Smoking Pig BBQ, a well-known BBQ restaurant in the bay area, is now looking for an experienced server to join our team in the San Jose location (the original one)! Our ideal candidate is a fun, self-starter, punctual, hard-working, reliable guy/gal, who can also provide memorable positive experience to our guests.
Responsibilities:

Guide guests through the food and beverage menu, answering questions as needed;

Serve food and beverage items that meet strict specifications and standards;

Always wear appropriate uniform as prescribed by policy and maintain personal cleanliness;

Ensure that work stations are properly refilled at the end of every shift;

Verify the accuracy of prices, State and Federal taxes, tips and other charges on all checks;

Be able to bend, stoop, climb, and stand for up to 5 hours without sitting;

Turn in signed tip declaration form weekly;
-
Check customer's identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age;

Assess customers needs and preferences and make recommendations;
-
Need to have knowledge of basic food, beer, wine, cocktail knowledge;
-
Serving tables in the restaurant;

Taking to go orders, packaging orders and making sure all orders are correct.

Responsible for cash handling and balancing drawer at the beginning and end of their shift.

Using POS system for ordering;

Collects money for orders served;

Must be over 21 years old;
