Terros Health is hiring a Director of Practice Management to join our team in the Phoenix area.
Excellent Compensation: $110K-$120K (depending on experience)

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business, or related field preferred
7+ years of progressive leadership experience in clinic operations and/or practice management in a healthcare setting
Experience in FQHC, integrated care, behavioral health, or Medicaid/AHCCCS environments required
Demonstrated success leading multi‑site operations and standardizing workflows
Strong knowledge of front‑end operations, scheduling, access, and revenue cycle fundamentals
The Director of Practice Management provides operational leadership to the Practice Management function and teams, at a centralized level, for all Terros Health outpatient clinics, ensuring consistent, high‑quality, patient‑centered operations across every site. This role is responsible for standardizing workflows, optimizing efficiency, strengthening front‑end processes, and ensuring that practice management functions operate with excellence, consistency, and accountability.
The Director partners closely with other Terros leaders to deliver effective and responsive patient care and administrative clinic support in alignment with Terros Health’s mission and strategic priorities. This position leads all clinic-based practice managers and practice management staff across the organization and is accountable for operational performance, access, patient experience, staffing models, and adherence to organizational and regulatory standards.
Additional duties include:
Enterprise level Practice Management Leadership
Provides strategic and operational leadership for all practice management functions across Terros Health clinics
Develops and implements a unified practice management model that ensures consistency, efficiency, and high‑quality patient care
Establishes standardized workflows, policies, and procedures for front‑end operations such as scheduling, registration, eligibility, check‑in/out, and revenue cycle–related processes
Ensures alignment with internal and external compliance and regulatory requirements
Operations and Practice Management
Leads and supports Practice Managers across all sites, ensuring consistent operational performance and accountability
Monitors and improves key operational metrics, including access, no‑show rates, cycle times, panel management, and patient experience
Conducts regular site reviews to ensure adherence to standards, identify gaps, and implement corrective action plans
Partners with Health Center Directors and other leadership to ensure smooth daily operations and integrated workflows.
Standardization, Best Practices, and Workflow Optimization
Creates, implements, and maintains standardized operating procedures across all clinics.
Leads workflow redesign initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce variation, and enhance patient and staff experience.
Ensures consistent implementation of new processes, technologies, and clinical workflows in partnership with Quality, IT, and Clinical Operations.
Develops and maintains a practice management playbook for all sites.
Workforce Development & Culture
Oversees and supports recruitment, retention, and development of Practice Management Teams
Builds a culture of accountability, collaboration, and trauma‑informed care
Ensures ongoing training and competency development for all Practice Management Staff
Service Excellence and Patient Experience
Ensures consistent, high‑quality patient experience across all clinics
Implements service standards, communication expectations, and patient‑centered workflows
Monitors patient feedback, complaints, and satisfaction data; leads improvement initiatives
Partners with compliance, licensure and others as needed to ensure audit readiness, site visit support, and overall regulatory and licensing compliance
Partners with cross functional leaders across the organization to optimize overall patient and employee experience and outcomes
Provides direct leadership, coaching, and mentorship to team members to foster professional growth, excellence, and strong service delivery.
Establishes performance expectations, conducts evaluations, and supports goal-setting for all supervised staff.
Builds and maintains a collaborative, high-performing team through effective communication, training, and continuous improvement.
Oversees workload distribution, resource planning, and staffing recommendations to ensure operational efficiency.
Promotes a culture of accountability, customer service, and innovation across the organization.

- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent additional work experience considered
- At minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience in clinic operations and/or practice management in a healthcare setting
- Experience in FQHC, integrated care, behavioral health, or Medicaid/AHCCCS environments
- Demonstrated success leading multi site operations and standardizing workflows
- Strong knowledge of front end operations, scheduling, access, and revenue cycle fundamentals.
- Proven ability to lead teams, drive performance, and implement organizational change.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem solving skills.
- Must have a valid Arizona driver’s license, be 21 years of age with a minimum of 3 years driving experience, and meet requirements of Terros Health’s driving policy
- Must successfully pass a Drug Screen, TB screening and criminal background check
- Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level 1) within 7 working days of assuming role.
