American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery (Birth Center) position requiring strong L&D skills including C-section circulation and fetal monitoring, with a preference for post-partum experience.

Work setting is a Birth Center with 20 total beds: 12 L&D, 8 PP/Antepartum (including 3 OB/ED rooms and 2 ORs), and a 6-bed Level II NICU

12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week

No on-call requirements

Patient population includes laboring patients, antepartum, and post-partum mothers and newborns

Epic EMR strongly preferred

Active WA state or compact RN license required

Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring

Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required

Must be proficient in cervical exams, antepartum and labor care, amnioinfusions, epidural support, IV placement, Pitocin administration, fetal monitoring, baby catching/receiving, APGAR scoring, and breastfeeding support

Must be able to circulate C-sections

Some exposure to post-partum (PP) care required; comfort with full PP care from transition through discharge strongly preferred

At least one professional reference from a supervisor or above (charge nurse, manager, director, etc.) required for consideration; a second reference will be needed prior to start

Multilingual ability (Russian or Spanish) is preferred given the patient population served

Scrub experience is a bonus — a Scrub Tech is always on site, but scrub-trained RNs may be utilized for sick call coverage

Teal scrubs are provided by the facility
