Plant Manager – Multi-Store Operations (Dry Cleaning Industry)

We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Plant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our production plant while managing multiple retail dry cleaning locations throughout Central Florida. The Plant Manager will be responsible for driving operational excellence, controlling labor costs, improving profitability, and ensuring exceptional customer service across all assigned locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily operations for the production plant and multiple retail stores.
- Monitor and improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including:
- Labor Cost %
- Sales Performance
- Production Efficiency
- Customer Satisfaction
- Quality Control
- Overtime
- Productivity
- Develop and manage operating budgets while controlling expenses.
- Analyze financial reports and implement strategies to improve profitability.
- Create and manage employee schedules based on business volume and labor goals.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop store managers and plant personnel.
- Conduct performance evaluations and hold team members accountable to company standards.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures.
- Maintain high standards for garment quality, production timelines, and customer service.
- Partner with executive leadership to implement operational improvements and growth initiatives.
- Travel between assigned store locations as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of management experience in the retail operations, or similar high-volume service industry.
- Proven experience managing multiple locations and large teams.
- Strong understanding of:
- Financial statements
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Labor cost management
- Scheduling and workforce planning
- Inventory and operational controls
- Demonstrated ability to improve KPIs and operational performance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and coaching skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and operational reporting systems.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to travel between locations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the dry cleaning industry.
- Experience with payroll, scheduling, and workforce management software.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience is a plus.
