Duties
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies to ensure a pristine environment
- Handle chemical agents safely by following proper procedures outlined in Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for effective cleaning while maintaining safety standards
- Perform heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or large items in accordance with manual handling safety protocols
- Maintain floor care through sweeping, mopping, and polishing to uphold high cleanliness standards across all areas
- Follow hotel housekeeping management procedures to report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
- Adhere to hotel emergency procedures during unforeseen incidents or safety concerns, ensuring guest and staff safety at all times
- Utilize janitorial and industrial cleaning equipment efficiently to deliver thorough cleaning services in guest rooms and public spaces
Skills
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles with strong janitorial expertise
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical agent handling, and industrial cleaning practices
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and moving furniture or supplies
- Familiarity with floor care methods such as stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning
- Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to respond effectively in urgent situations
- Experience managing housekeeping operations within a hospitality environment is preferred
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to maintain cleanliness standards consistently
