Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as dressing, grooming, eating, and hygiene, fostering independence.
- Collect accurate data on client progress during sessions to inform ongoing treatment plans and ensure compliance with ethical standards.
- Support clients in educational activities, teaching new skills aligned with their care plans and goals.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and records while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality.
- Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and team members to provide consistent support across environments.
- Follow all professional and ethical guidelines outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and maintain a high standard of patient care.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of early intervention
- Experience working in home-based behavioral therapy settings or with children is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and behavior health principles.
- Ability to assist clients with ADLs and implement behavior intervention strategies effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, team members, and other healthcare professionals.
- Must be committed to ongoing professional development and adhering to ethical standards for behavior analysts.
