Summary/Objectives:
The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to hospital leadership.
- Serve as the eyes and ears of the office, providing information, answering questions and responding to requests

Ensure optimal workflow by analyzing and refining scheduling and communications

Coordinate internal and external resources to expedite workflow
Essential Functions:

Greet visitors, answer phones and manage mail and packages

Manage calendars, plan meetings and coordinate travel

Respond to emails and correspondence and draft and edit documents

Maintain filing systems, databases and office supply inventory

Order and manage office supplies and food pick up and deliveries

Operate and maintain office equipment such as printers, copiers and fax machines

Research as requested and compile information for reports and presentations

Work closely with other administrative staff and colleagues

Be patient and have a problem-solving approach when addressing issues

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities
Work Environment:
Well lighted and ventilated but sometimes high stress, high pressure. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines, and other equipment as needed.
Physical Demands:
The employee is occasionally required to stoop, bend, turn, stretch, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and core hours of work are Monday through Friday eight (8) hours per day with overtime as needed. Position requires work schedule flexibility based on needs of the facility.
TRAVEL
Occasional travel should be expected.
Required Education, Experience and License
High School diploma or GED required
Valid Texas Driver License with an acceptable record
Preferred Education, Experience and License
At least one year of experience working in an office setting
