General Summary: Established Construction Supply Company looking for a yard worker. This position will be full time (between 40-50 hours per week) with those hours being Monday through Friday within the hours of 7:00am and 5:00pm.
Primary Duties:
The right candidate will be a hard worker with a good work ethic. Needs to be able to follow direction and assist salesman with pulling materials in yard.
- Responsible for pulling merchandise per ticket and loading outgoing delivery trucks.
- Responsible for unloading incoming merchandise, check receiving paperwork and placing product in correct place in yard.
- Loading of shoring on customer's trailer/ truck with loader
- Cutting and measuring pipe with torch
- Maintain a clean and organized yard environment. Ensure work areas are clear of trash, weeds and other obstacles to provide a safe work environment.
- Assist in counting of physical inventory yearly.
- May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
- Additional duties as assigned by manager
Requirements Include:
- Good Customer Service skills.
- Ability to operate a forklift and loader
- Ability to operate a cutting torch is a plus, but can be trained on the job
- Knowledge of building supply products (especially how to pull, prepare packages and load) is highly desirable.
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 50lbs and occasionally lift up to 100lbs.
Work is performed primarily in an outdoor yard environment, subject to variations in temperature and weather, equipment noise and dust.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
