Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assess, develop, and implement personalized treatment plans to help individuals of all ages improve their functional abilities and achieve greater independence. Whether working in inpatient settings, outpatient clinics, schools, or home health environments, you will play a key role in enhancing patient outcomes through evidence-based occupational therapy practices. Your expertise will support clients with diverse needs, including neurodevelopmental disorders, disabilities, post-acute recovery, and chronic conditions.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to evaluate clients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional functioning
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with patient goals and medical recommendations
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting to promote independence
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—including speech therapists, physicians, case managers and educators—to coordinate care and optimize outcomes
- Support discharge planning by preparing clients for transition to home or community settings through skill-building and caregiver education
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately to document assessments, treatment progress, and clinical notes
- Provide specialized interventions for populations such as pediatrics with autism spectrum disorders, geriatrics in skilled nursing facilities, or patients in acute care settings
Requirements
- Valid license or certification to practice occupational therapy in the relevant jurisdiction
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities across various settings—pediatrics, geriatrics, inpatient or outpatient care—preferred
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology and clinical documentation standards
- Proven ability to develop effective treatment plans based on evidence-based practice principles
- Skilled in implementing occupational therapy programs tailored to client needs—especially for neurodevelopmental disorders and physical rehabilitation
- Experience working with students with disabilities or special education needs is highly desirable
- Excellent client communication skills along with the ability to collaborate within interprofessional teams
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management and medical documentation practices
- Ability to adapt interventions for diverse populations including pediatric occupational therapy and occupational health cases

Pay: $42.00 - $60.00 per hour
