Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, refrigeration units, appliances, and mechanical equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment including air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, electrical components, and mechanical devices using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance tasks related to construction projects or facility upgrades as needed.
- Diagnose issues using schematics, technical diagrams, and system manuals; execute repairs efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Lead small maintenance projects or team efforts when necessary, demonstrating leadership qualities and coordinating tasks effectively.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and inspections completed for accountability and future reference.
- Respond promptly to emergency repair requests ensuring minimal disruption to operations, even during after hours emergencies.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, air conditioning, and equipment repair.
- Service technician experience with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems using schematics and technical documentation.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Knowledge of construction practices related to facility maintenance or upgrades.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
- Leadership skills with the capacity to guide team members or coordinate maintenance projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach to diagnosing issues quickly and accurately.
