Winter Haven Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Pool/PRN to join our Acute Care team. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality rehabilitative care to patients in an acute hospital setting. This role focuses on improving patient mobility, function, and overall quality of life during hospitalization . Acute Physical Therapist Assistant Pool/PRN Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
- Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional ADL (Activities of Daily Living) mobility interventions.
- Monitor and document patient progress, reporting changes to the supervising therapist.
- Educate patients and families on exercises and techniques to support recovery.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nurses, physicians, and occupational therapists.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during therapy sessions.
Adhere to infection control and hospital policies.

Qualifications:
- Experience in acute care or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Requirements:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant)
- Or PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant) Temporary and licensure within 6 months
- Required Associate's Physical Therapy
Preferred 1-year Physical Therapy Assistant
