At Nalu, we are dedicated to creating exceptional hair experiences for our clients. Our boutique salon is known for its luxurious atmosphere, high-end service, and commitment to staying at the forefront of the latest hair trends and techniques. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join us in our mission to help our clients look and feel their best. In the Hawaiian language the word Nalu means “wave or to form waves, to ponder or meditate”. Based on that philosophy, Nalu owner, Neil Johnson wanted to create a relaxing, Hawaiian inspired atmosphere for both staff and clientele alike. Being a native of Hawaii, Neil has dreamed of being able to create a space to encompass his heritage and “mana”. Nalu, now 20 years in the making, has finally come to fruition. Within this cozy homelike environment, you are innately invited to feel the mana. The word “mana” means “supernatural or divine power”. This is referring to the divine power of the Hawaiian people and what fuels the Hawaiian spirit of Aloha. While the client or clientele are here for a visit, they should feel free to kick back and relax in a stress-free environment while their service provider helps them feel and look their best. We at Nalu are always dedicated to upholding high service standards and hope that you will always feel this and carry the mana with you!

The Nalu Ohana

We are seeking an experienced and talented stylist to join our team at Nalu. As one of our Stylists, you will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity, technical expertise, and passion for the art of hairstyling. Nalu has created a unique stylist commission structure that is rewarding and engaging!
Key Responsibilities:
- Consult with clients to understand their style preferences and needs.
- Provide a range of high-end hair services, including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and techniques.
- Create and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service.
- Uphold the salon's reputation for excellence and provide a luxurious customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a licensed stylist.
- Demonstrated proficiency in cutting and coloring techniques.
- Portfolio showcasing a diverse range of hairstyles and techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stay current with industry trends and continuously improve skills.
