Job Summary:
The Part-Time Cashier is responsible for, but not limited to, providing exceptional customer service and maintaining efficient, accurate point-of-sale transactions. This role supports overall store operations by ensuring smooth front-end processes, assisting customers with purchases and inquiries, and representing the Mallards brand with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.

Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.

Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions in accordance with company policies.

Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area.

Assist with bagging, tagging, restocking, and light merchandising as needed.

Balance cash drawer and follow all cash control procedures.

Communicate effectively with the Cashier Supervisor and management regarding customer concerns or issues.

Support store promotions, events, and sales initiatives.

Ensure compliance with company policies, including security and safety standards.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous retail or cashier experience preferred but not required.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Reliable, punctual, and detail oriented.

Basic math and computer skills required.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Must pass a background check and drug test.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

Must be able to lift up to 25lbs occasionally.

Ability to bend, reach, and handle routine front-end duties.
Schedule:
Part-time position; flexibility required to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
