American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Neurosciences (Neuro/Stroke) unit position in Oklahoma City, requiring at least 1 year of RN experience and an active OK or compact RN license.

Hospital-based Neurosciences unit serving stroke, neuro, orthopedic, and spine patients

Designated comprehensive stroke center

Patient ratios of 3:1 for step-down patients and 5:1 for all other patients

Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)

May be required to precept and work in a virtual monitoring room

Stroke experience and NIHSS certification are preferred

Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)

Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required; all certifications must be AHA-issued

Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Full date of birth (DOB) and full SSN required for consideration

Responsibilities include assuming care for an assigned patient group, administering medications, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, documenting patient responses, and coordinating with physicians and support staff

Candidates who have previously worked at this facility may apply, but are limited to one extension for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before being eligible for another contract thereafter

Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) must be completed promptly and by firm deadlines — start dates will not be negotiated after a candidate is booked
