Food Production Worker Job Description
A Food Production Worker is responsible for preparing, processing, packaging, and inspecting food products while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and materials for food production.
- Operate food processing and packaging equipment.
- Assemble, package, label, and box food products.
- Monitor product quality to ensure company standards are met.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
- Follow food safety regulations, company policies, and hygiene procedures.
- Inspect products for defects and remove unsatisfactory items.
- Record production data and complete required documentation.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in food manufacturing or production is an advantage.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is a plus.
