Position Summary:
Cara Hotel is currently hiring Line Cooks to join our culinary team. This role is responsible for preparing and executing menu items according to restaurant standards while supporting efficient kitchen operations during service. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, team-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment focused on quality and guest experience. Your culinary skills will contribute directly to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute menu items according to recipe and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of stations throughout shifts.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department standards.
- Ensure quality, consistency, and timely execution during service.
- Assist with station setup, breakdown, prep, and closing responsibilities.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen team and management throughout service.
- Maintain proper food storage, rotation, and labeling procedures.
- Support overall kitchen operations and assist with additional tasks as assigned.
- Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude during all shifts.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Support menu planning by suggesting improvements based on ingredient availability and customer preferences
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper handling, storage, and rotation to minimize waste
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Follow all safety protocols related to knife skills, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment operation
Qualifications:
- Previous line cook experience preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and organization.
- Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to frequently bend, lift, reach, and carry products or supplies.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in hot and fast-paced kitchen environments.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
