Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Worker specializing in Plywood and Lumber to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling, storing, and managing heavy materials such as plywood and lumber products within a fast-paced warehouse environment. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth operations in shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling, contributing to the overall success of our distribution processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy equipment and advanced inventory management systems while maintaining a strong focus on safety and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and move lumber and plywood materials throughout the warehouse.
- Manage inventory control by accurately tracking stock levels using inventory management software and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting, stacking, and packing materials while adhering to OSHA safety regulations and PPE protocols.
- Assist in order fulfillment by picking, packing, and preparing shipments for delivery or storage using RF scanners and AS400 systems.
- Maintain organization of stock by stocking shelves efficiently, conducting regular inventory counts, and ensuring proper placement of materials for easy access.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations by following established procedures for equipment operation and material handling.
- Support shipping & receiving activities by loading/unloading trucks, verifying shipment accuracy, and documenting transactions accurately.
Skills
- Proven experience operating warehouse equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, order pickers, and material handling machinery.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes, inventory management software, and logistics operations.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper manual handling techniques.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for stock management and order accuracy.
- Basic math skills for counting stock quantities, measuring materials, and verifying shipment details.
- Construction or manufacturing experience is a plus for understanding material specifications and handling requirements.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
