An Employee Health Licensed Vocation Nurse is a licensed health professional who will perform employee care, technical and supportive services under general supervision in the Human Resources Department. The Employee Health LVN supports philosophy and complies with the protocols, policies and procedures of the Organization.
Essential Functions:

Perform functions as prescribed by the Medical Director following established protocols, policies, and procedures within their scope of education, training and responsibilities for all employees.

Assess and monitors employees’ conditions and notify the Medical Director for disposition.

If, State certified, initiate and maintain Intravenous solutions as given by the Medical Director, following established protocols.

Maintain equipment and supplies. Identify and arrange for equipment needing repair.

Apply principles of aseptic technique and infection control.

Monitor employee flow and assign/direct other personnel as needed.

Provide medical information and education to all employees, following established protocols and policies.

Document pertinent employee information, assessment and nursing procedures, following established protocols. Maintain employee confidentiality.

Documentation must be dated, legible and with the appropriate signature to all entries (first initial, last name and title). All pre-printed prompts are to be answered.

On a temporary basis, may be required to work at any satellite facility.

Perform other duties as directed.

Demonstrates clinical knowledge and skill in the care of the employee.

Facilitate the practice of the Medical Director.

Perform routine clerical functions as assigned (making appointments, telephone calls, etc.

Completes employee health visits per organization policy protocols.

Participates in employee health preventative screenings (TB screening, Influenza, Hepatitis B, Varicella, MMR, and Tdap immunizations)

Monitors and coordinates annual health screening requirements (TB screening, Influenza vaccine)

Maintains and ensures confidentiality of employee health information.

Performs N95 mask fit testing.

Works closely with the HR and the Infection Control Nurse on communicable disease exposure/bloodborne pathogen exposure follow up.
You'll be successful with the following qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited School of Vocational Nursing.

Current California Vocational Nurse license required.
-
Current I.V. certification preferred.
-
Current Basic Life Support card issued through the American Heart Association required.

Supervisory experience required.
-
3 experience in the nursing field required, 5 years preferred
