Occupational Therapist (Pediatric)- Lafayette, IN
Full Time/Days M-F 8am-5pm or 4-day,10hour Workweek.
Pay-$45 Hourly DOE ( Negotiable on experience )
Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced therapists and new graduates who have a passion for working with children.
You'll evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans that help children improve functional skills, independence, sensory processing, and participation in daily activities while working alongside an experienced interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on each child's strengths and needs.
Provide pediatric occupational therapy services focusing on:
Fine motor development
Sensory integration and sensory processing
Self-care and activities of daily living
Visual-motor coordination
Functional and adaptive skills
Monitor progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
Complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Collaborate with speech therapists, physical therapists, families, educators, and other professionals.
Educate caregivers on strategies to support development at home.
Participate in team collaboration and ongoing professional development.
Schedule
Full-time position (36-40 hours per week)
Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Very flexible scheduling, including opportunities to work outside standard clinic hours when appropriate
Some therapists enjoy a 4-day, 10-hour workweek
Paid documentation time is provided
Qualifications
Master's or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Current Indiana Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility)
NBCOT Certification (or eligibility)
Pediatric experience preferred, but new graduates with pediatric clinical experience or a strong interest in pediatrics are encouraged to apply
Strong understanding of child development, sensory processing, and evidence-based pediatric interventions
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Compassionate, patient, creative, and enthusiastic about working with children and families
