The Creative Teaching Press Director of Direct-to-Consumer Sales, Parent and Teacher Markets is a “hands on” role that drives online sales and strategy, overseeing digital storefronts, marketing, user experience, and operations to boost conversions, revenue, and customer loyalty by analyzing data, managing campaigns, and collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, IT, and operations teams for seamless, revenue-generating online experiences.
Core Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Marketplace Management: Manage and optimize presence on Shopify and Amazon platforms to increase sales. This includes improving product rankings, managing listings, executing promotional calendars, and driving sales. Research other online platforms for consideration, such as Walmart.
- Content Marketing: Blogs, white papers, social media, etc.
- Digital Marketing & PPC: Oversee paid advertising (Google Ads, Amazon Ads) to maximize Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) and drive customer acquisition.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates, traffic, and inventory levels. Use data to retain customers and identify opportunities.
- Customer Experience & Retention: Collaborate with customer service to resolve fulfillment issues and utilize email/SMS marketing to enhance customer experience.
- Operations & Logistics: Partner with supply chain teams to prevent stockouts and manage the product lifecycle from initial release to end-of-life markdowns.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Platform Proficiency: Expertise in Shopify Plus, Amazon Seller Central, Walmart, or other online platforms.
- Analytical Tools: Experienced in Google Analytics and Microsoft Excel
- Experience: 3–5 years of direct e-commerce experience.
