Bell Valet Attendant, Full Time
Rate of Pay: $16/hour plus gratuity
King Kamehameha Kona Beach Resort Courtyard by Marriott currently has an opening for a talented Full Time Bell Valet Attendant to share the aloha spirit and strive to create a memorable guest experience.
Brief Summary of Job: Greets, welcomes, open doors and offers general assistance to guess on arrival and departure.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to guests.
- Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
- Accommodate guests by making them feel welcome, informed, and cared for during the entire length of their stay.
- Greet arriving and departing guests with a smile and aloha and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
- Open vehicle doors and offer assistance to guests arriving at the Hotel.
- Park and retrieve cars for guests.
- Monitor and direct personal and commercial vehicle traffic on property, including guest vehicles, taxi cabs, limousines, and buses, to ensure vehicles are legally parked and to maintain a smooth and efficient flow of traffic.
- Arrange transportation (e.g., taxi cab, shuttle bus) for guests/visitors.
- Transport guest luggage to and from guest rooms and/or designated bell area. Assist with luggage storage and retrieval.
- Inform guests about hotel features and amenities, as well as local attractions; and satisfying special requests whenever possible.
- Be knowledgeable about daily hotel operations, check daily event sheet, bulletin boards and be up to date with all changes, new procedures and events.
- Maintain and understand special guest programs and franchise related programs.
- Find solutions quickly, and confidently address and resolve guest concerns.
- Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department, restaurant and hotel.
- Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Knowledge/Education/Experience: Valid driver’s license and an abstract of traffic record indicating no moving violations on record. Minimum one year experience as a bell valet attendant operating vehicles with manual and automatic transmissions required. Ability to speak multiple languages preferred. High school or equivalent education.
Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements: Must be able to communicate in English with guests, management and team members to their understanding. Ability to provide legible written communications. Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations. Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments. Dependable.
