Overview
At eLabs, we are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental compliance in our operations. We are currently seeking a skilled UST A/B Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of underground storage tank systems and be committed to ensuring our operations are safe, efficient, and compliant with local and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist our customers to operate and maintain underground storage tank systems (USTs) in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of UST systems to ensure proper functioning for our customers.
- Monitor and report on UST system performance, including leak detection systems, fuel levels, and pump operations.
- Identify UST component issues, including pumps, tanks, and piping, as needed.
- Maintain accurate monthly/quarterly records of inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory reports and compliance documentation.
- Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant industry training is a plus (A/B Operator Certifications for SC and NC).
- Valid drivers license.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with UST systems or related fields.
- Ability to travel throughout South Carolina and North Carolina.
- Strong understanding of UST regulations, safety practices, and environmental standards.
- Ability to monitor and diagnose UST system component issues.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Ability to work in various outdoor weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and perform physical tasks as required.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for extended periods.
