Position: Lindbergh Elementary School Principal (Certificated)
Qualifications: Hold a valid New York State Administrative Certification
Minimum 10 years successful teaching and/or administrative experience preferred
Demonstrates understanding of NYS Regulations and Guidelines
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Elementary School Principal is a full-time administrator who provides leadership with supervision, instruction and the general administration of a comprehensive and equitable elementary program, maximizing the physical and social/emotional well-being of all students and staff in alignment with the District mission and strategic plan.
Reports To: Executive Director of Elementary Education
Salary: $110,000-$125,000, commensurate with experience

Elementary School Principal (Certificated)
Anticipated Start Date: August 1, 2026
We are seeking a dynamic, student-centered instructional leader to serve as Principal of one of our elementary schools. The Principal will provide effective instructional leadership and manage all activities that contribute to the success of the overall educational program.
Valid and appropriate New York State administrative certification
Minimum of ten years teaching and/or administrative experience preferred
Demonstrated success and experience at the elementary level
Deep knowledge of the Science of Reading and research-based literacy and math instruction
Understanding of the NYS Learning Standards and curriculum implementation
Strong knowledge of social-emotional learning and a commitment to supporting the whole child
Experience with data-driven instruction, Response to Intervention (RtI), and differentiated learning
Ability to manage fiscal, physical, and human resources to effectively support school programs
Skilled in managing resources and leading high-impact professional learning
Strong communication skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships with staff, families, and the broader school community
Ability to interpret and act upon a wide range of educational data, documents, and assessments
Strong organizational skills and the ability to lead with clarity in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Commitment to equity, inclusion, and academic success for all students

Executive Director of Elementary Education
Champion high academic expectations and equity for all students
Lead professional development grounded in evidence-based practices, especially in literacy and mathematics
Use assessment data to monitor progress and inform instructional decision-making
Ensure the consistent implementation of research-based programs, including those aligned with the Science of Reading
Partner with curriculum and special education leaders to align supports with student needs
Promote a safe, inclusive, and welcoming school environment
Implement systems that support students' emotional well-being and positive behavior
Embed SEL practices into daily routines and school-wide initiatives
Foster a school culture where every student feels valued, seen, and supported
Community Engagement
Build strong, trusting relationships with families and community partners
Clearly and consistently communicate school goals, priorities, and achievements
Celebrate the diversity of the school community and ensure all voices are engaged in the school's vision
Lead the integration of instructional technology to enhance teaching, learning, and communication
Ensure equitable access to digital tools and resources for all students and staff
Personnel & Talent Development
Supervise, evaluate, and support instructional and support staff
Cultivate a collaborative, reflective, and inclusive professional culture
Recruit and retain high-quality, diverse educators
Provide ongoing mentoring and coaching aligned to district goals
Operations & Management
Ensure the safety, security, and smooth daily operations of the school building
Develop and manage budgets and allocate resources effectively
Oversee scheduling, record-keeping, and compliance functions
Other Duties
Assist in the implementation of District policies, regulations, and procedures
Perform additional responsibilities as required
