Elastizell Systems Inc. is a Dayton-based, family-owned company with decades of experience in lightweight cellular concrete applications. We specialize in highly engineered solutions including geotechnical fills, annular and pipeline grouting, lightweight insulating roof decks, and plaza/landscape fills. Our work is technical, specialized, and in demand across the Midwest and East Coast. This is not standard concrete work - our systems, materials, and processes are unique and require skilled operators who take pride in mastering their craft.
Position Overview:
Are you the kind of operator who can run complex equipment, troubleshoot on the fly, and take ownership of a system in the field? We are looking for a skilled operator to run our mobile mixing and pumping systems on job sites.
Not Your Typical Batch Plant Role:
This is not a traditional ready-mix or stationary batch plant position. However, candidates with batch plant experience can be a strong fit if you are:
- Hands-on and mechanically inclined (not just operating from a control panel)
- Comfortable troubleshooting and working on equipment
- Able to adjust mixes and respond to changing conditions in the field
- Interested in learning a mobile, specialized mixing system
This role requires a higher level of involvement than a typical plant operator position - you will be responsible for both operation and performance of the system in the field.
What You'll Do:
- Run and adjust the mixing process
- Dial in material consistency in real-time
- Operate pump systems
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting
- Diagnose issues in hydraulics, diesel engines, and electrical systems
- Travel to job sites in the Midwest and sometimes the East Coast (approximately 40% -50%)
What We're Looking For:
- Experience with specialized or mobile equipment systems or batch plant operations
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability
- Understanding of pumps, hydraulics, and diesel equipment
- Ability to work independently and adapt
- Works well with a team and has good people skills
- Willingness to travel
