Job Summary

Trainer Pathway: We offer paid training while you learn. After completing the program, you’ll transition into a structure that includes commission opportunities. You’ll also have the opportunity to earn your trainer certification after 300 training hours and passing the exam. Most trainees complete the full pathway in about a year, depending on experience and dedication.
Responsibilities
- Safely handle and restrain dogs during daily activities, training sessions, and veterinary procedures
- Assist with pet boarding, pet sitting, and outdoor walks to ensure animals are comfortable and secure
- Conduct pet grooming, cleaning kennels, and maintaining sanitation protocols within the pet care facility
- Monitor animal behavior to identify signs of stress or health issues and communicate findings to veterinary staff or supervisors
- Support team lifting efforts when moving heavy supplies or large animals to ensure safety for all team members
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing pet owners’ questions and offering guidance on pet care routines
- Maintain detailed records of animal care activities, behavior observations, and cleaning schedules
Requirements
- Experience with pet sitting, dog training, or kennel work is preferred but not required
- Strong animal handling skills with knowledge of animal restraint techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and outdoor work comfortably in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and teamwork
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and sanitized environment through proper facility sanitization procedures
