Emerald ENT is a growing Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose & Throat) practice dedicated to providing outstanding patient care in a professional, team-oriented environment. We are seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to join our clinical team and help us deliver exceptional care to patients of all ages.
What You'll Do
As a Medical Assistant, you will play an essential role in supporting our physicians and advanced practice providers by:
- Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and medication lists
- Preparing exam rooms and ensuring clinical areas remain clean, stocked, and organized
- Assisting providers with ENT procedures and treatments
- Performing clinical tasks such as injections, allergy testing, and patient education (training provided as needed)
- Documenting patient information accurately within the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Coordinating referrals, diagnostic testing, and follow-up appointments
- Answering patient questions and providing exceptional customer service
- Maintaining compliance with HIPAA and infection control standards
- Collaborating with providers and staff to ensure efficient clinic operations
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical Assistant experience in a physician office or outpatient clinic
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a busy healthcare environment
- Basic computer proficiency and EMR experience
Preferred:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent certification
- Experience in ENT, Allergy, Family Medicine, Pediatrics, or a specialty practice
- Phlebotomy and injection experience
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
