Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Worker to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to concrete construction, including pouring, finishing, cutting, and forming. Your expertise will help bring construction projects to life, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects such as residential, commercial, and infrastructure developments, contributing your hands-on skills to build durable and aesthetically pleasing structures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up concrete forms and frameworks according to blueprint specifications and project requirements
- Operate concrete mixers, pumps, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively during pouring and finishing processes
- Install rebar reinforcement and metal stud framing to strengthen concrete structures
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to ensure precise execution of tasks
- Perform concrete cutting, finishing, sealing (caulking), and plastering to achieve smooth surfaces and desired textures
- Manage heavy lifting and material handling in compliance with safety regulations
- Follow all construction workplace safety regulations diligently to maintain a secure environment for yourself and colleagues
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction tools, equipment operation, and concrete machinery
- Proven experience in working on construction projects with a focus on concrete work, masonry, restoration or renovation projects
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately for formwork construction and other tasks
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes for material needs and project timelines
- Expertise in rebar installation, concrete pouring, finishing techniques, and concrete cutting methods
- Familiarity with construction workplace safety regulations such as OSHA standards or equivalent safety protocols
- Experience with carpentry skills including trim carpentry, roofing support structures, stucco application, tile laying or flooring installation is a plus
