Role Description: The Stainless Steel Welder role is a full-time, on-site position based in Holland, MI. Day-to-day responsibilities include welding and fabricating stainless steel components using appropriate welding techniques, reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, and preparing materials and work surfaces for welding. The role involves setting up and operating welding equipment, inspecting welds for quality and accuracy, and finishing and cleaning welds to meet project specifications. The Stainless Steel Welder will also collaborate with fabrication team members, follow safety procedures and quality standards, and assist with general shop tasks and equipment maintenance as needed.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of TIG welding experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- Experience welding stainless steel.
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols, and to use measuring tools accurately.
- Commitment to workplace safety, quality control, and adherence to fabrication standards.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Preferred
- Experience welding aluminum and thin-gauge materials.
- Experience with sanitary or cosmetic TIG welding.
- Ability to fabricate and fit parts without extensive supervision.
- Experience operating fabrication equipment such as press brakes, shears, saws, or CNC machinery.
- Relevant welding certifications or technical training are beneficial but not required.
