Swedish Girl Bakery is a growing start-up that offers allergy friendly baked goods and special occasion items. (Please note the application phase of this post closes on Sunday 6/28.)
We are looking for Front of House Retail and Farmers Market Team Members who enjoy interacting with customers and creating a welcoming experience.
This is a role where hospitality, sales and customer connection are just as important as efficiency. The ideal candidate brings positive energy, an inviting personality, and a genuine love for working with others!
Responsibilities
- Set up the retail area of the bakery for the day, including preparing the display case, packaging products, and general opening tasks.
- Greet customers warmly and help them find products that fit their needs.
- Provide knowledgeable guidance on allergy-friendly ingredients and products.
- Use the POS system (Square) to process transactions.
- Ensure all custom orders are prepared and ready for customer pickup.
- Take basic custom orders and communicate details clearly with the team.
- Ability to multitask quickly and thoroughly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe front of house enviornment.
- Work closely with the Back of House team to keep operations running smoothly.
- Assist with a variety of tasks as needed in a fast growing start-up environment.
- Bring a positive, energetic attitude and willingness to take on new tasks each day.
Qualifications
- Must be at least a high school senior with their own transportation to the bakery.
- Must be able to work weekends and during the Holiday seasons.
- Ability to stand and be on your feet up to 8 -10 hours.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- Food Handlers Card (or willingness to obtain one.)
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with coworkers.
- Comfortable interacting with customers and providing excellent service.
- Reliable, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
SHIFT DAYS/HOURS: We offer a variety of shifts Monday - Sunday.
Most shifts will take place at our Willowbrook location; however, we also have availability to work with our specialty Farmers Market Team which travels to various locations in the surrounding suburbs.
Mon - Tues: 9:00am - 3:00pm (Specialty tasks, Inventory & preparations for custom orders)
Wed - Sat (FOH Retail Team): 7:00am - 4:00pm
Wed - Sat (Farmer's Market Team): 4:45am - 3:00pm

Suday (Farmer's Market Team): 4:45am - 3:00pm
