Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and techniques
- Conduct routine janitorial duties such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal to uphold high cleanliness standards
- Maintain and operate floor care equipment including buffers and polishers to ensure shiny, well-maintained surfaces
- Assist with custodial tasks related to facilities maintenance such as light repairs or reporting larger issues for prompt resolution
- Follow safety protocols during cleaning procedures to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others
- Use commercial cleaning products effectively while adhering to safety guidelines and environmental standards
- Support industrial cleaning projects or specialized floor care tasks as needed in various settings
Skills
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of cleaning procedures and equipment operation
- Strong skills in floor care including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors
- Ability to perform residential painting or minor maintenance tasks is a plus but not required
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning standards and industrial cleaning practices
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks throughout shifts
