The incumbent performs responsible supervisory project management, engineering design and development plan review work. This position requires knowledge and expertise in stormwater and general civil engineering. The incumbent's design work involves the production of engineering plans and specifications for capital improvement projects. Review work involves the review of engineering plans for development projects including subdivisions, commercial, and industrial site plans. Work assignments are received both orally and in writing. Work is performed with considerable latitude and independence in judgement and decision-making within established policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and guidelines. Work is reviewed through observation, conferences, periodic inspection, and for results obtained.
