Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented steel windows and doors Maintenance Technician and Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintenancing glass and door systems across various residential projects. Your expertise will ensure that each installation meets safety standards, quality expectations, and client specifications. Duties
- Install, repair, and replace glass panels in our custom steel doors and windows
- Use caulking, trim carpentry, frame carpentry, metal stud framing, and fixture installation techniques to ensure secure and professional finishes
- Handle heavy lifting safely when moving large glass units or door assemblies on-site
- Conduct remodeling tasks such as construction painting, or metal framing to support project completion
- Utilize schematics and technical drawings to troubleshoot issues during installation or repair processes
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, materials, and debris throughout the project lifecycleQualifications
- Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on glass installation or door systems
- Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, chisels), power tools (e.g., drills, saws), and fabrication equipment
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics for precise project execution
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and material fabrication techniques
- Experience with carpentry skills such as trim carpentry, frame carpentry, metal stud framing, and fixture or cabinet installation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols
- Hands-on handyman experience including remodeling tasks like painting or drywall finishing is a plus
- Knowledge of construction painting techniques and metal fabrication processes is desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients
