Responsibilities
- Operate MRI equipment
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures
- Collaborate with physicians to perform a variety of specialized procedures
- Set up/adjust equipment to perform diagnostic procedures
- Position patients accurately and comfortably to obtain images
- Obtain appropriate patient information for the procedure being completed
- Secure and provide safe environment for the patient and technologist
- Recognize emergent situations
- Must be able to cover call
Qualifications
- Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training
- ARRT certification required; ARRT(MR) or ARMIT preferred
- Previous MRI experience preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of imaging various anatomical structures
- Lift 50 pounds; 100 pounds shared
