Job Description: The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for a variety of skilled maintenance, repair and troubleshooting tasks, in and about facilities and manufacturing equipment. Essential Functions: Diagnose problems and determine the extent of repairs or adjustments needed for equipment, Maintain, adjust, repair, rebuild and overhaul equipment, Enters repair orders and keep maintenance records of time spent, materials and parts used and type of work performed in automated system, Organizes, cleans and maintains workshop area, Familiar with hands and power tools, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Traits: Able to read and understand maintenance and specification manuals, Follow oral and written instructions, Capable of preparing work orders and records of service performed, Communicate and work effectively with all associates, Physical dexterity and ability to perform preventive maintenance on complex equipment, Able to perform all duties of a mechanics helper without supervision. Standing -Entire shift, Lifting up to 50 lbs-Regularly, Noise typical of a production environment- Entire shift, Working around moving equipment-Regularly, Working in hot/cold temperatures-Regularly. Required-Steel Toed Shoes. Due to onsite safety all candidates must fluent and able to read and write in either English or Spanish.
May need to access locations over 8 feet, could work with a manlift, could operate a machine, could use a respirator, could work in confined spaces.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
