Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding perfect vintage pieces that match their style and needs
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Conduct product demos to highlight the unique features and stories behind select items, enhancing customer engagement
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays by organizing stock, rotating inventory, and ensuring shelves are well-stocked and inviting
- Manage stock levels through stocking shelves, inventory counts, and coordinating with management on restocking needs
- Provide bilingual support to serve a diverse clientele effectively and ensure clear communication with all customers
Qualifications
- Prior retail sales or cashiering experience preferred, especially within grocery or specialty stores, education, design, or art.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with customers in a friendly, professional manner
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are a plus for supporting team efforts
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Knowledge of POS systems, merchandising techniques, and phone etiquette is highly desirable
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous to serve a broader customer base effectively
- Enthusiasm for vintage items, fashion, or collectibles is encouraged to foster genuine customer interactions
- Knowledge about the Coachella Valley attractions, shops, bars, and restaurants.
